Real Stories from Real Owners
I would avoid this clinic at all costs! The other reviews mentioning that Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is now in partnership with Community Veterinary Partners and TerraVet Real Estate solutions are accurate. What these companies do is purchase veterinary clinics that have potential and expand the services they offer to be state of the art. These services come at a price and a major premium from before this particular clinic was purchased.
You better have good medical insurance for your pet, because when you see both the low and high estimates that Quakertown Vet hand you, it will be quite a shock!
The attitude and demeanor of the vets that work here is hardened and uncaring. The "I just work here and I don't set the prices" are what you'll hear. I think this clinic does have a high turnover rate because previous vets I dealt with don't seem to be there anymore. This clinic also doesn't seem to do follow up calls to check on your pet as some other clinics do. You'd think with the money we pay we'd receive stellar service. Not at this place!
Veterinary care has seemed to become a streamlined and monetized practice. The prices they charge are about as high as a hospital does for a human. Insurance for pets used to be optional, but not with these prices!
There has been a wave of pet owners who seek out clinics who haven't been bought out by these multi-million dollar real estate companies, and I don't blame them in the least. It does take some research to find, but well worth it if the prices are much more reasonable.
I personally have spent over $3,000 at this clinic in the last year for a blockage for my dog. Recently a 10 year old lab/shepherd mix that belonged to my immediate family was brought to this clinic for a foreign body object. The quote we received for care for a 2 day stay was around $3,000 and doubled to $6,000 if extended to 3 days. The vet was pushing for surgery which the low end quoted was $7,000 and the high end $10,000.
Despite the dog having pneumonia, the vet still pushed for surgery. Of course they do, because its all profit! With all of the other medical problems listed that the dog had told by a previous vet, we elected to take the dog home and refused treatment here. The care and surgery didn't seem to be a sound investment as it didn't seem the dog would survive anyway and we'd be left with the burden of one hell of a whopper of a bill.
Pet owners beware!

Have used QVC for many years for two dogs . Have always been satisfied and confident with the care and the front office service .
After moving to Pennsylvania and having a hiking incident where my puppy got infested with ticks, my fiancé and I were scrambling to find a new vet that would quickly accept an emergency walk-in for a reasonable price. This clinic checked all the boxes. Then, when it came time for my puppy to get a spaying procedure, it was a no-brainer to take her to Quakertown for pre-op bloodwork/getting a quote for the surgery. Not only is this place reasonably priced, but Dr John Hurst is phenomenal. He is kind, an active listener, and even got on the floor to interact with our crazy energetic puppy. It’s so beautiful to see someone that human, while also being professional. I don’t write Google reviews often, but I’m hoping this helps a worrisome pet parent find the reassurance that this clinic is wonderful. Dr Hurst called me before the surgery and answered all questions I had, and gave me a call right after the procedure was done. The clinic also gave text updates! I will bring my Maple here for the rest of her life. Thank you all for the wonderful work you do each day.
Caring and knowledgeable!!
We love Destiny and Dr. Geller for having them both save the lives of our dog Saki( pancreatitis ) and cats Flo ( kidney disease and thyroid disease) and Shadow ( diabetes). We have learned a lot, and the clinical trials program has saved our animals. We are eternally grateful to all of you.

On time, answered all questions. Extremely nice and competent!
Highly recommend and I live in Harleysville who has no emergency service on weekends after5pm.
Q-town was caring organized and informed me how my cat was doing in their more than clean and productive facility!
It’s obvious I’m switching permanently to Quakertown vet! 5+ stars

I was desperate and didn't know what to do with my dog who would have seizures and immediately have an hours long panic attack after. My previous vet was not willing to try anything other than more anti-anxiety drugs. Dr. Luchenbach listened and found a great solution that has made this last year the best year yet.
My cat Cordelia had to go in for emergency surgery on a linear foreign body. The staff here were incredibly kind and patient with me and my questions as a new cat owner, especially during this difficult time. They sent an update photo of her after she got out of surgery, and called me with updates throughout. Dr. Lehr did a great job! While I was there I saw the emergency staff helping many other pets and the overall tone was overall ideal for an emergency setting. Pricing was fair, and transparent estimates were given throughout the process. I would not hesitate to take a pet here in an emergency.
I had a great experience with QVC. I brought in my 12 year old cat, whom is very difficult to transport and handle. I was expecting the worst but the veterinarian Dr. Ognibene and her assistant were able to handle and treat my kitty even after she tried to escape.
The best vet ever. They always tried to do the best for our dogs, they are always available and everyone is very nice and professional. Prices are very reasonable. Blessings to you!
