Real Stories from Real Owners
Idk about this place. Unfortunately, my dog passed away in their care and while I don’t entirely blame them, my experience was weird. I was on vacation and my dog sitter noticed my dog was walking strangely so she brought her here. QVC called me to let me know she was just having a vestibular situation and she’s totally fine to go back to daycare. I wasn’t willing to risk it, so I told them I’d rather have her stay with them until we got home. The next day, I called for an update. They told me she was doing well and she’d be good to go home with me when I got back the next day. She died later that night. They never asked me for any of her medical history or who her primary vet was or anything. I tried to offer some things up, but they didn’t really care and they seemed inconvenienced by the conversation.. so for this reason, I felt that I was overly anxious for nothing. When they called to tell me she passed, the doctor said she had a blood clot and she would talk to us when we got in to say goodbye. When we got there, the person who led us into the room to see my dog told me that he thinks it was related to her heart but he wasn’t sure what happened. I gave two stars because they gave us a nice paw print, nose print, and fur. When we went to pick her ashes up, while they did say “I’m sorry for your loss,” it felt cold. This isn’t my usual emergency vet and I wouldn’t return.
I brought my 19 year old cat in for an emergency. She could not pass her stool. She was on Kidney food that another veterinarian in our community subscribed. They gave her 2 enigmas. The stool passed but they kept her because they told me she had a stone. Poor thing swallowed her tooth a couple of weeks before. Then they told me her sodium levels were high but didn’t know why, she wasn’t eating in the cage because she was never hospitalized in 19 yrs. They recommended she be put down. After a 3400.00 bill I came home with no pet. I should have stood my ground but I trusted them and now I feel she was just experiencing old age. This was my pet for almost 20 years and they had no clue what to do but uthinize her. Many vets tell you to bring them home and give them love but not this one.
Wonderful staff and wonderful service.
I am always reassured of the services I get at Quakertown Vet.
Very caring and knowledgeable.
One of the receptionist in the Emergency vet was incredibly rude and heartless. Told my friend if she cannot pay the bill she can take her cat home to die. I honestly wish there were options for payment plans. Not everyone has 4-5k sitting around, just very frustrating.
On Labor Day weekend at 9 p.m., our 6-month-old German Shepherd swallowed not one but two socks. Quakertown Veterinary Clinic was fully staffed, kind, and professional. They quickly induced vomiting and saved our puppy from surgery. The receptionist even registered me while I was driving over. Everyone was so caring, even on a holiday weekend. The emergency fee was reasonable, and the peace of mind was priceless. Highly recommend!
